- I sauteed the vegetables in olive oil until soft and beginning to brown, before adding the stock and the beans.
- I didn't have dried chilies so I used cayenne instead, about a teaspoon's worth.
- I certainly didn't add any extra salt - it was salty enough from the ham hock.
Note to self: your money is in stitches.

So I am searching online for Terry Pratchett and the name Lingmao pops on google. FLASHBACK to 1997!!!!
So I dig a bit further and it turns out you have your own blog. How the hell are you? I look at your list of accomplishments and feels like crap for accomplishing nothing for yet another year.
I hope you are doing great. Drop me a note at michmachdk@webspeed.dk if you feel like it.
Happy new year to you and your loved one.

Michael!
I've had this blog up for only THREE DAYS and you found it! That's wild.
It tickles me to think that somewhere in the world Terry Pratchett and I are linked. You heard he's sick, right? It's absolutely tragic. I assume that's why you were searching him.
I'm feeling pretty good these days. I always seem to do better when I have a goal in mind and a plan to get there.
Happy New Year to you! It's great to hear from you! I'd love to catch up and hear what's going on in your life. Take care.
